LIC Market is a New American restaurant located in Long Island City, Queens.  We opened in 2010 to provide outstanding food, service and atmosphere to a neighborhood we love.  Chef-owner Alex Schindler’s inspired dishes balance seasonal ingredients with American and world influence.  His frequently changing menus combine peak season components with creativity and skill.

We endeavor to make the sustainable food movement an industry standard and not just a current trend.  We source from farms throughout NY, NJ, CT, VT & MA.  Much of our produce is harvested within 24 hours of serving. Our meat is humanely raised and handled as well as hormone/antibiotic free.  Our coffee is organic, sourced from Direct Trade Micro-lots and roasted in Long Island.

Like our food menus, our wine and beer lists are frequently updated with attention to season, quality & craft.  Our wine is sourced from many countries including France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany & the US.  Our wines are natural and hand harvested by small growers on old and new vines.  We value non-interventionist techniques that produce wines true to their viticultural heritage and expressive of their natural terroir. We offer a diverse list of craft beers with emphasis on small breweries and specialty brands, including excellent Brooklyn and New York State options.
